Account & Card
In addition to the services provided by your faculty, tubIT offers a variety of solutions to handle your everyday IT tasks at the university. All you need to use these services is an activated tubIT Account.
With your tubIT account you can use for example the following services:
- access to the portal of TU Berlin
- access to WiFi (eduroam)
- using the tubIT PC pool
- dialing in VPN
- Shibboleth Identity Provider
- and much more

| TUB-Account
and password [1] | To use our
services you need a TUB-Account and a password. You receive those
within the provisioning (inclusion to the central EDP system of TU
Berlin) |
| E-mail
address [2] | For the time of your
membership at TU Berlin you receive an email address, which you can
use for the administration of your electronic mail.
Official mail of TU Berlin will be delivered only to this email
address. |

Campus Card [3]
| Your Student ID
Card or Employee ID
Card with photo. The ID card
counts as library card and in combination with a validation sticker as
ticket for public transport. |
| TAN list or mTAN service [4] | For the usage of some secured
application you have to use one of our TAN procedures. We offer TAN
lists (iTAN) and “mobile TAN procedure”
(mTAN). |
| Electronic certificate
[5] | Evidence of identity and a secure data
transfer are the inevitable condition for the reliable usage of
electronic services. For the technical implementation digital
software certificates are being used. |
| Service accounts
[6] | Are technical TUB-Accounts which
are not related to a real person and which can be created by the
“Strukturverwalter” of your institution. |
| Personal
website [7] | To
configure your personal HTML website for the Internet please visit
www.user.tu-berlin.de/username/.

| Personal
cloud storage space [8] | Students are provided with 20GB and employees with
100GB of cloud storage space. |
|
Personal AFS storage
space [9] | Students
are provided with 1 GB storage space whereas employees
receive 2 GB storage space.
