TrustCenter of TU Berlin
The trustcenter provides the technological platform for TU Berlin allowing secure data transfers via e-mail, from/to a server, by signing software and use of resources within a grid network.
Secure data transfer means:
Integrity: Changes of transferred data must be detectable.
Authenticity: The source of data must be verifiable.
Confidentiality: Unauthorized must not get access to data.
The trustcenter of TU Berlin secures data transfer by employing digital certificates. Within a DFN wide Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) the certificate issuing authority of TU Berlin (TUB Certification Authority, TUB-CA) provides certificates for server authentication (TLS/SSL server certificate). Furthermore the trustcenter provides certificates for e-mail and software signatures. These CAs will be integrated into DFN-PKI soon.
System administrators who want to authenticate and secure their servers with TLS/SSL server certificates should contact us.
