Cisco VPN for Windows (XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10)

The following instructions will guide you through the process of setting up a VPN connection to the TU Berlin.
The software Cisco AnyConnect will be installed on your computer requiring local administrator rights.

Please ensure that your operating system and your browser are up to date and that Java is installed.

Step 1:

Open the following link in your browser: https://vpn.tu-berlin.de and confirm the two security exceptions.

Step 2:

Enter your tubIT user name and password and confirm.

Step 3:

An automated routine will start which will automatically install the VPN Client software. Please confirm the certificate, the execution of the Java application and the Windows user control management pop-ups.

Step 4:

After successful installation a new icon will appear in the task bar. You are now connected to the TU Berlin network.

Important: Please consider the change to "vpn.tu-berlin.de" explained in step 5. This will improve the function of the VPN service.

Step 5:

Lupe

From now on you can connect to the TU Berlin network by doubleclicking on the Cisco AnyConnect icon in your task bar. Connect to "vpn.tu-berlin.de" and confirm the dialogue by entering your tubIT user name and password.

If the web installation fails, download the offered software, install it and start it. Continue with step 5.
