tubIT provides data storage and server services for TU members. On the following web pages you will find information about those services.

| Andrew File System
(AFS) | The Andrew File System (AFS) allows
TU members to use their personal storage for documents, pictures and
other files as well as their personal website from any computer
worldwide. TU departments can use the service to make files available

| WebAFS | tubIT
hosts the WebAFS service for all members and departmens of the TU
Berlin for an easy access to files hosted in the AFS service using a

| Gigamove | Gigamove
offers a simple way of transferring files up to 2 GB which can’t be

| Storage (SAN) | In order to provide the AFS
and backup services tubIT maintains a
storage area network (SAN). A SAN is a storage network which can be
used to save large amounts of data. | Website

| SVN service | The SVN
service can be used as central document storage with versioning
features. This will make projects and team work with shared files

| Server Hosting (VM Ware) | Virtual Servers are independent and secure systems on a
physical server which guarantee the customer certain resources and
avoid conflicts between applications of different customers. Each
virtual machine acts like an independent server. | Website [9] |
| Server Housing | We make the resources and infrastructure from our
computer centre available for your own servers allowing you to

| Updates & Activation | If you want to activate Microsoft Windows or Microsoft
Office products using volume licenses you can use the tubIT-hosted Key
Management Server (KMS). Furthermore we offer TU departments,
employees and students a free Windows Update Service. | Website
