Under the menu item "Mein Profil" users can access information on their tubIT account, administrate it, review their roles and  assign roles to substitutes (in the case of prolonged absence). Furthermore, you can renew the certificates of your campus ID card here, activate Microsoft Office and apply for a substitute campus ID card.

Meine Person (My person)

In this menu item you can review andchange the personal data which is assigned to your tubIT account. If you only have a temporary account, you can check here whether the data you entered during account creation matches the data you stated during enrollment / signing of your contract. If this is not the case, you can change the entered data once.


Mein Konto (My account)

Here you can find all information on your tubIT account, like the currently valid TAN list (or the mobile phone number for mTAN), your sending email adress and your status.

 

Meine Rollen (My roles)

In the item "Meine Rollen" you can find a list of roles which you already own. In the drop-down menu "Modus" you can choose whether the displayed roles are sort "nach Anwendung" (by application) or "nach Einrichtung" (by department).

If an application you want to use is not displayed in this item, please contact the role administrator of your department.

Mein Foto (My photo)

Here you can upload an up-to-date passport photo for your student or employee ID, respectively.

Passwort ändern (Change your password)

At this menu item you can change your password anytime.

When using our IT services, passwords must meet certain security criteria. In particular, all passwords must comply with the following password policy.

  • The password must be at least 8 characters long.
  • The password has to contain characters of the following four character groups: capital letters A-Z, lower case letters a-z, digits 0-9 and additional characters !"#0&'()*+,-./:;<=>?. (Please note that umlauts and the German ß cannot be used in a password)
  • The password must contain at least characters of three of the four character groups (capital letters, lower case letters, digits, additional characters).
  • The password must not include more than two repeated characters in a row.
  • The same character cannot be included more than three times.
  • The password shall not include more than four characters of one group in a row.
  • The password must contain at least five different characters.
  • Groups of three or more characters shall not be repeated.
  • Groups of more than three characters that correspond to the alphabet or the keyboard layout should be avoided. The password can only contain one of such groups.
  • Groups of more than three characters that correspond to your first name, last name or user name are excluded.

Exchange-Konto verwalten (Administrate your Exchange account)

In this item you can access an overview of your data. You can choose the sending adress which you to use via exchange from the item "Verfügbare Absenderadresse" (available sending adresses). You can save the change by clicking on "Änderungen in Exchange durchführen" (apply changes to Exchange).

If you use our Exchange service, you can use the email alias firstname.lastname@<department>.tu-berlin.de as sending adress. To choose this new alias you need to request it at your structure administrator, please regard our instructions.

Verbrauchte TANs anzeigen (Show used TANs)

In this menu item you can see how many and which TANs of the current TAN list were already used.

 

TAN-Liste sperren (Block the TAN list)

This is where you can block your TAN list. Once the TAN list is blocked, it cannot be used anymore!

Note: If you block your TAN list, it will not be possible to carry out transactions that require a TAN. 
If the TAN list was blocked, you can only receive a new TAN list from the card issuing office.


Neue TAN-Liste erzeugen (Create a new TAN list)

This is where you can generate and print a new TAN list. 
Existing TAN lists will be blocked if you generate a new one.

Mobile-TAN verwalten (Administrate mTAN, changing your mobile number)

In this menu item you can activate the mTAN service, change your mobile number and administrate optional services like password reset via mTAN.

In case you want to register a new mobile number, please follow these instructions:

Step 1: Change the number in the input screen. Then click "Mobilfunknummer ändern". If you do not have access to the mobile number anymore, you can deactivate the mTAN service first and then reactivate it again for the new number.

Step 2: In order to register, you receive the first mTAN after a few seconds via SMS to your phone. This mTAN needs to be entered into the input screen in the next step.

Step 3: With the successful activation, you receive a message in the next step, as well as a confirmation email to your official eMail account. Required mTANs are always sent to the registered device from then on. Using your old TAN-list and the mTAN service at the same time is not possible!

Vertretungsverwaltung (Administration of substitutes)

Ihre Vertretungen (Your substitutions)

With this portal application you can consult and administrate your positions and the corresponding business roles. Furthermore, you have access to an overview of the linked application roles and can define substitutes (for example during a vacation).

Step 1: Click "+" to define a new substitute (With "-" you can remove, with "Bearbeiten" you can edit an existing one).

Step 2: Choose a meaningful name for the substitution (for example "substitution for my team administrator role") you want to define and accept with "weiter".

Step 3: Choose the business role from the overview you want to define a substitution for (multiple choice for business roles or choice of single application roles is possible). Click "weiter".

Step 4: Choose the persons who should substitute you, by searching for the surname and then choosing the persons from the result list (multiple choise is possible). Click "weiter". With the button "Kostenstelle / Organisationseinheit anzeigen" (show cost center / organizational unit) you can check whether the chosen person is the searched one.

Step 5: Now you can choose a time frame for which the substitution should be active. If you do not enter an ending date, the substitution is valid without an end. Click "weiter".

Step 6: In the last step you can check your inputs a last time before saving and activating them. For this, click on "Vertretung jetzt anlegen" (define substitution now). After confirmation, the substitution is activated and visible in "Ihre Vertretungen" (your substitutions).

In this menu item you can see which substitutions you have been assigned from other persons and which roles are linked to these substitutions.

Please note that substitution roles are valid either for a certain time or endlessly (by leaving the end date free).

WLAN / VPN Einstellungen ändern (change WiFi / VPN settings)

WLAN (WiFi)

Here you can choose the subnetwork which you want to connect to via eduroam.

Result:

  • If the chosen network has not been activated yet, you are shown a message and can then contact your structure administrator (Strukturverwalter) via eMail to request the activation of the subnet.
  • If the chosen network has already been activated and you do not have gained access from your structure administrator, you are informed of this and have the option to forward the message to your structure administrator.
  • If both the network is activated and you are eligible to access it, you can choose which option you want to use.

Colors:

  • green point: This network is currently activated.
  • black letters: You can activate this network.
  • greyed out letters: This network cannot be activated at the moment.

VPN

You can choose the activated network which you want to connect to in this menu item.

Result:

  • If the chosen network has not been activated yet, you are shown a message and can then contact your structure administrator (Strukturverwalter) via eMail to request the activation of the subnet.
  • If the chosen network has already been activated and you do not have gained access from your structure administrator, you are informed of this and have the option to forward the message to your structure administrator.
  • If both the network is activated and you are eligible to access it, you can choose which option you want to use.

Colors:

  • green point: This network is currently activated.
  • black letters: You can activate this network.
  • greyed out letters: This network cannot be activated at the moment.

Softwarezertifikate herunterladen (Download software certificates)

Here you can see the software certificates you obtained in the tubIT-Laden, and download them for the different applications.

Rückmeldeinformationen (Re-registration information for students)

In this screen you can find out whether you have already been re-registered yet. Furthermore, you can see the due payments and the deadlines.

Ersatzkarte beantragen (Applying for a substitute Campus Card)

If your Campus Card is lost, damaged or invalid, you can apply for a new student or employee ID card in this menu item.

For this, you choose the reason for the application, which kind of Campus Card is needed and upload a passport picture.

You can pick up the student ID card in the Campus Center (with a fee), or have the employee ID card sent to your secretary.

Microsoft Office 365 aktivieren (Activate Microsoft Office 365)

As a member of TU-Berlin you are allowed to register at the TUB Portal for this service.

As Office 365 calls for a Microsoft ID, but TU-Berlin refuses to send personal data to Microsoft or any other third person, our IT-Service tubIT produces and registers a distinct pseudonym as a Microsoft ID for you.

On the same website at TUB-Portal you are able to end the registration at anytime by yourself. Your microsoft account is going to be deleted automatically after a certain time.

After finishing your student or employment relationship, your registration is going to be deleted automatically through our system.
